Signs That It’s Time For A New Roof:

Look for Leaks.

Caused by missing or damaged roof tiles, and blocked gutters.(Tip) Never ignore roof leaks and find the root of the problem as soon as possible.

The condition of the roof tiles.

It’s not difficult to notice if a roof tile has seen better days. Incomplete or cracked tiles or slates are normally a result of wind damage.

Light is visible through the roof?
If light is visible from the underside of the roof, it’s normally time for a roof inspection. It’s crucial to identify and address the problem as soon as it appears. Perhaps small holes and leaks can be repaired.

Sagging roof?
A sagging roof could indicate serious structural problems and should be professionally inspected promptly.

The Tiles:

You can choose between natural and man-made tiles.

These products are very durable, and if you do suffer any damage such as cracks or leaks, individual tiles can be easily removed and replaced.

Slate Roofs (this is the most popular, natural, roof product).
Slate has a timeless, traditional look and has a long lifespan.

Slate is waterproof and unaffected by normal extremes of temperature, highly resistant to acids and other chemicals and it is non-fading, even in UV light.

The Membrane:

Brand New Breathable membrane installed on every new pitched roof.

New Pressure Treated Roofing Battens.

Commonly known as slate laths.

Suitably re-treated on any cut edges.

Treated to ensure durability and prevent rot.

Need a New Flat Roof?

1. NEW Traditional felt roof.

A full new installation (replacement) of Traditional Felt is a popular choice.

The roof would be hard wearing using the modern roofing products.

Torch on felt can last much longer than sheet felt, and performs much better in the bad weather.

2. Rubber Cover Flat Roof.

We re-roof flat roofs with EPDM Rubber roofing product which gives a nice smooth surface/finish.

Can often be fitted using a single rubber sheet (No joints).

Fibre-glass is the most expensive of the flat roofing material.

Conservatory Roofing

Is your conservatory classically too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer?

Traditionally polycarbonate roofing was, and still is the cheapest option for a conservatory roof. However, the downside is it will need replacing every 10 years. Another downside is polycarabonate roofing does not retain the heat which makes the conservatory cold in the winter and too hot in the summer months.
